Costa Smeralda is the name of the coast of north-eastern Sardinia (Gallura) also known as "Monti di mola." It is a part of the municipal area of Arzachena making a kind of peninsula that extends from the Gulf ,which has the same name, to that one of Cugnana. The so-called "Consorzio Costa Smeralda", born in 1962 ,thanks to the Ishmaelites Prince Karim Aga Khan, made this part of Sardinia the right place for people who want to spend their holidays. This wonderful coast has 88 km of picturesque coastline presents frequent bays, headlands, islands and has many great hotels.
