The town of Sant'Antioco is the island's main centre, developed on the slopes of the hill of the Castle. It is located on the site of one of the most ancient Phoenician foundations in Sardinia (VIII century B.C.), then Roman and subsequently Municipium known as Sulci. In summer time this place offers many equipped beaches, cliffs, two discos and clubs to spend beautiful evening having fun, the little port that welcomes visitors,there's a very nice sea front with venues and clubs on 3 km. There are also numerous archaeological sites including the Phoenician tophet , Punic necropolis and the basilic (originally attached with Christian catacombs) all located in the town, but we can also find ancient ruins through the island as "the graves of giants", several "nuraghi" and natural beauties to be discovered.
